Our two newest franchisees, Vicky Sperbeck and Jim and Jessica Huffman, are terrific representatives of the wide range of candidates we talk to about Gotcha Covered. One has worked in the high-end window treatment field but the others are jumping into our industry cold, but hot with excitement! They have just completed our initial training program and are now ready and well-equipped to launch.
The Beginning of a New Family Business
Jim and Jessica Huffman will be building their new Gotcha Covered franchise in the Cedar Valley region of eastern Iowa covering Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Shell Rock, Waverly, and the surrounding areas. Combining their individual work experiences in food service, trucking, and the medical field, this dynamic duo’s first leads were heaven-sent.
Great Leads Came from Church Congregation
As long-time residents in the Cedar Valley region, Jim and Jessica got their first handful of leads from their fellow church-goers simply by announcing they were open for business. This is a great example of letting personal reputations jump-start a professional reputation in a new field.
At launch, Jim will be the prime driver, with Jessica helping around the demands of her current job. Jim brings a high level of customer focus from his food service background. He knows his outstanding work ethic will serve him well. Jessica is very personable and is excited to start working with homeowners.
Jim and Jessica are opting for self-employment to build income and equity for themselves; they decided they have done enough of that for others! The plan is to start, thrive and then make it a family business with their children. As former business owners, they know the passion and commitment required to succeed and we know they will.
Wineries, Produce, Government Labs, and Gotcha Covered Thrive in North Central California
Vicky Sperbeck lives in the Tri-Valley area (Livermore, Amador and San Ramon) of California, a prime location to serve customers as far north as Sacramento and west to Stockton in the Central Valley region. Based in Manteca, this life-long California resident is starting her franchise with a noteworthy edge: she worked for a competitor for many years. After contributing to building that successful business, Vicky decided the time was right to stand on her own and reap the benefits that go with the risk doing something new. In this case, as Vicky well knows, very low risk with tremendous rewards!
Her Own Shingle Is Now Swinging
Vicky’s stand-out work for her now-competitor is what motivated her to start her own business. She has enjoyed remarkable professional success because she knows she excels at building personal and professional relationships and presents herself confidently. Vicky and David Bates are partnering on this new franchise to play off of each other’s strengths to not only cover a large geographic area, faster and more completely, but to serve as support for each other all around. Add in the valuable, extensive resources Gotcha Covered will be providing, and we are as sure of her success as she is!
