Andrew Maratas – Seattle, Washington
Originally from Canada, Andrew showed early entrepreneurial instincts when he founded and ran a residential paint company while in college. His professional career began in the retail industry, and he spent 16 years with high-end retailers (Macy’s, Marshalls, etc.) in a variety of roles, including as a corporate buyer. Andrew eventually moved into the pharmaceutical industry, mostly in sales and sales management/training. Andrew will be building his new Gotcha Covered business in the east side of Seattle, home to explosive growth tied to Amazon, Boeing and Microsoft.
Rafael Garzon – Houston, Texas
Born and raised in Colombia before migrating to the US at the age of 21, Rafael has spent the bulk of his professional career working in the high-end retail space, including stints with Saks, Neiman Marcus, and Nordstrom. Along the way, Rafael grew in roles and responsibilities and eventually managed multiple stores across the country. Eventually, the combination of Covid, the fundamental changes in retail, and a desire to do something different led him to decide that his focus on the client, along with his comfort with high end design would translate very well into his new Gotcha Covered business.
Andrew Robinson – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Originally from New Jersey, Andrew attended college in California and has had a multitude of work experiences since leaving college several years ago. Drawn to the tech startup scene in Southern California, Andrew worked for several startups and learned a lot about various aspects of business foundation and operations. Eventually, Andrew moved back to the East coast to be near family, settling in the Philly area. Andrew has most recently been working for a healthcare company performing health assessments before deciding that entrepreneurship and business ownership is his true path.
Rita and Michael Ingleheart – Austin, Texas
Rita and Michael are brand new transplants to the Austin market, having very recently moved from North Carolina (with a very brief stop in Dallas before moving to Austin because of the opportunity with Gotcha Covered there). Rita has spent the bulk of her career in financial services, consulting with people on budgeting, investing and financial education over many years. Michael is a US Army Veteran that has been in the real estate industry, as both a real estate broker and an appraiser (both focused on the residential side). They will both work the business full time and hope to hire and grow quickly.
